The PLT5 488 is a new cyan laser diode from Osram Opto Semiconductors. The PLT5 488 laser diode is a 60 mW, single-mode laser diode emitting at a wavelength of 488 nm. The 5.6 mm package PLT5 488 laser diode (488 ±2 nm) is available with a monitoring photodiode and a Zener diode for ESD protection. The PLT5 488 laser diode produces a side-lobe-free beam distribution, making it suitable for beam circularization and single-mode fiber coupling.
The PLT5 488 cyan laser diode is used in many demanding applications, such as flow cytometry, medical diagnostics, DNA sequencing, and bio-fluorescence.
