World Star Technologies, Inc is a leading manufacturer of laser modules and systems for biomedical, instrumentation, machine vision and other industrial applications. We are located in Markham, ON in a modern facility. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, driven and resourceful Global Business Development Manager to become an integral part of our global expansion.

What do we expect from you?

As our Global Business Development Manager, your top priority is to drive the revenue goals of the company by positioning World Star Techs product offerings as the best solution to achieve our customer’s vision of success.

• Eager to learn
• Conduct preliminary research on potential clients to maximize the effectiveness of the sales process
• Actively develop new sales opportunities through a variety of different marketing channels
• Analyze target markets and identify a prospective business, initiate and own sales relationships with prospects.
• Convert prospects to sales
• Assist with all media and marketing activities.
• Other duties as appropriately assigned

What are we looking for?

• PhD in Physics with specialization in Lasers/Photonics field
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the field of Laser and Photonics
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing of Photonics products in global markets
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Sales minded, enthusiastic, full of energy and highly flexible.
• A motivated self-starter who is also a great team player.
• Strong understanding of target markets, industry, critical projects and clients.
• Have the ability to convert a client’s requirement into suitable business processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Pro-active and capable of working independently.
• Resides in the Greater Toronto area
• Multilingual (knowledge of German/French) is an asset that will help to liaise with our critical partners in Germany and Europe.
